AMI DU CLERGÉ. - Catholic weekly for the clergy, published continuously since 1 November 1878 and widely circulated in France, Belgium, and Canada (published in Paris during the first ten years, and in Langres from 1889). It provides the clergy with resources for pastoral life and meets their intellectual needs, with responses to canonical, liturgical, and moral consultations; chronicles of dogmatic theology, exegesis, and ecclesiastical history; surveys of journals and reviews of books. A supplement for preaching is now published with separate numbering. The periodical is edited by learned ecclesiastics, who often remain anonymous; for many years it was directed by Msgr. Fr. Perriot (1839–1910).
