AMI DU CLERGÉ. - A Catholic weekly for the clergy, continuously published since 1 November 1878 and widely circulated in France, Belgium, and Canada (printed in Paris during its first ten years, from 1889 in Langres). It provides the clergy with aids for pastoral life and caters to their intellectual needs, offering responses to canonical, liturgical, and moral consultations; chronicles of dogmatic theology, exegesis, ecclesiastical history; reviews of journals and book reviews. A supplement for preaching is now published with separate numbering. The periodical is edited by learned ecclesiastics, who often remain anonymous; it was directed for many years by Monsignor Fr. Perriot (1839–1910).
