ANDREVI, FRANCESCO. – Spanish musician and priest of Italian origin, born in Sanabuya on 16 November 1786, died on 23 November 1853. He was chapel master in various cathedrals of Spain, and finally in the church of Our Lady in Barcelona. One of the most highly esteemed composers of his time, he wrote the Giudizio Universale and a Requiem, in addition to many other pieces collected in Escliava’s Lyra Sacra Hispaniae. He is also the author of a Tratado teorico práctico de Armonia y Composición (Barcelona 1848).
