ANDREVI, FRANCESCO. - Musician, Spanish priest of Italian origin, b. at Sanabuya on 16 Nov. 1786, d. on 23 Nov. 1853. He was choirmaster in various cathedrals of Spain, and lastly in the church of Our Lady in Barcelona. A composer among the most reputed of his time, he wrote the Giudizio Universale and a Requiem, besides many other pieces collected in the Lyra Sacra Hispaniae of Esclava. He is also the author of a Tratado teorico práctico de Armonia y Composición (Barcelona 1848).
