ANTONIO ANGELINI. - Jesuit, born in Canepina (Viterbo) in 1809, died in Rome on 12 Oct. 1892. He entered the Society in 1825 and taught for thirty years rhetoric and sacred eloquence at the Roman College. His *Lezioni di eloquenza sacra* were published posthumously in Rome in 1893. He served as consultor to various Roman Congregations.
Yet his renown was chiefly that of a skilled epigraphist: many of the numerous inscriptions he composed are collected in *Inscriptiones, Libri I-II* (Rome 1873), *Liber III* (ibid. 1880). He also wrote several biographies: *Storia della vita del p. Carlo Odescalchi* (1850), *Ritratto storico politico letterario del marchese Carlo Antici* (1854), etc.
