in 1587 through the care of Manuele Glinzunios, and repeatedly reproduced in the following centuries. Revised by Antimo Mazuraki, the text was last published in Venice in 1882. There is also a Slavic edition of this book from 1643, and another, in Slavic and Romanian, from 1705. Of a different nature is the A. compiled by Antonio Arcudio, archpriest of Solito, at the suggestion of Cardinal G. A. Sanctorio, protector of the Greek College, in 1598, and printed by the Vatican Press. This edition, severely criticized by Leone Allacci, was never used outside Italy. In imitation of the A., a considerable number of collections of offices extracted from liturgical books arose, in Greek as well as in Slavic and Romanian, for the use of clergy and laity.
