Arnpeck, Veit

ARNPECK, VEIT. - German priest and historian, b. ca. 1440, probably at Freising (Bavaria), and d. probably in 1495. He studied at the University of Vienna; as a priest and parish priest he carried out his ministry at Landshut and at Freising.

He composed several historical works: the Chronica Boioariorum, in Latin and a version in German; Chronicon Austriorum and Liber de gestis Episcoporum Frisingemium (all edited by G. Leidinger, in Quellen und Erörterungen zur bayerischen deutschen Geschichte, new series, III, Munich 1915).
