ARNPECK, VEIT. – German priest and historian, born ca. 1440, probably in Freising (Bavaria), and died probably in 1495. He studied at the University of Vienna; as a priest and parish priest, he exercised his ministry in Landshut and Freising.
He composed several historical works: the Chronica Boioariorum, in Latin, and a German version; Chronicon Austriorum and Liber de gestis Episcoporum Frisingemium (all edited by G. Leidinger, in Quellen und Erörterungen zur bayerischen deutschen Geschichte, new series, III, Munich 1915).
