AYMER DE LA CHEVALERIE, HENRIETTE

**AYMER DE LA CHEVALERIE, HENRIETTE** – b. 1 Apr 1767 at St-Georges-de-Noisné (Poitou), d. in Paris on 23 Nov 1834. She suffered imprisonment during the Terror for having given asylum to priests, and once freed, abandoned the brilliant and worldly life she had hitherto led to enter the Association of the Sacred Heart. Under the direction of Fr. P. Coudrin (q.v.) she founded the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts (q.v.). Her life was marked by a great spirit of mortification. The cause of her beatification is under way.
