BELLI, Pasquale. — Architect, born in Rome on 13 Dec. 1752, died there on 31 Oct. 1833. Pupil and assistant of P. Camporese. Upon the death of R. Stern (1820) he completed the construction of the Braccio Nuovo of the Vatican. After the fire at the basilica of St Paul (1823) he oversaw its restoration.
