ELIE BERGER. Historian, born at Beaucourt in 1850, died in Paris on 2 April 1925. Professor of palaeography at the École des Chartes and member of the philological and historical section of the “Comité des travaux historiques,” he took a particular interest in the historical problems of the 12th and 13th centuries.
