BERNADOT, MARIE-VINCENT

After completing his studies in Italy, he founded at Juvisy near Paris, following several years of fruitful activity among intellectuals, *La Vie spirituelle* (1920) and in 1928 *La Vie intellectuelle*, with the precise aim of providing clear doctrinal and practical guidance during such troubled times. However, his social and political ideas were sometimes controversial. His engaging editorials were signed « Civis », « Christianus », « Apostolus ». In 1930, he established the center for cultural and editorial apostolate that became Les Éditions du Cerf (moved from Juvisy to Paris in 1935), publishing himself writings rich in spirituality, including the widely circulated *De l'Eucharistie à la Trinité* (Toulouse 1919; Paris 1941, 125th thousand) and *Notre Dame dans ma vie* (Paris 1937 and 1938, 30th thousand).
