BONADA, FRANCESCO MARIA. — Piarist, born on 8 September 1706 in Trinità (Cuneo), in the diocese of Mondovì; died in Rome on 22 December 1755, rector of the Collegio Urbano «de Propaganda Fide».
He taught eloquence in Rome and was the first to collect metric inscriptions together, anticipating the work of Kaibel and Buecheler, in an Anthologia sive collectio omnium veterum inscriptionum poeticarum, tam graecarum quam latinarum in antiquis lapidibus sculptarum, in decem classes distributa (Rome 1751 and 1753).
