BORGIA, Nilo. — Basilian monk, historian, and liturgist, born at Piana degli Albanesi (Palermo) on 19 March 1870, died at Grottaferrata on 3 March 1942.
He devoted himself to the study of Eastern history and liturgy, publishing numerous works including: *I Monaci basiliani d’Italia in Albania* (2 vols., Rome 1935–42) and *Q2006yov «Diurno» delle Chiese di rito bizantino* (ibid. 1929). He founded the Institute of the Basilian Sisters of St Macrina.
