BORGIA, NILO. – Basilian monk, historian, and liturgist, born in Piana degli Albanesi (Palermo) on 1 March 1870, died in Grottaferrata on 3 March 1942.
Devoting himself to the study of the history and liturgy of the East, he published numerous works, including: I Monaci basiliani d'Italia in Albania (2 vols., Rome 1935–42) and Προλόγιον «Diurno» delle Chiese di rito bizantino (ibid., 1929).
