**BOVETTINO DE' BOVETTINI (Boatinus Mantuanus).** — Decretalist, born in Mantua in the first half of the 12th century, died in Aug. 1300. He taught for 43 years at Padua. He is the author of a large commentary
on the Decretals of Gregory IX, completed shortly after 1274, and also, together with the Bolognese professor Ioannes Garsia, of another commentary on the Decretals of Gregory X, which work dates from after 1279 (both unpublished).
