CALBULO

CALBULUS. - African Christian poet, perhaps a bishop, who lived at the beginning of the 6th century. The Latin Anthology (no. 378, ed. A. Riese) preserves by him a poem for a baptistery that he had adorned with marbles. It is preceded by four epigrams that describe the various phases of the baptismal action.
