The Catholic Historical Review is a quarterly review for research in ecclesiastical history published in the United States. Founded in 1915 as the official organ of the American Catholic Historical Association, it is published by the Catholic University of America in Washington. Initially, its purpose was to promote and disseminate the study of the history of the Catholic Church in the United States, with the intention of later becoming a journal of ecclesiastical history of general interest.
