CORRADO of BRUNDELSHEIM. – Abbot (surname Soccas = perhaps Schult) of the Cistercian monastery of Heilbronn (q.v.) or Fons salutis (diocese of Bamberg), d. 31 Oct. 1321.
Learned in Holy Scripture, scholastic theology and belles-lettres, he left, besides notable commentaries on Albert the Great’s treatment of the 4 books of the Sentences, 4 volumes of choice Sermons for Sundays and feasts throughout the year (published in 1474). These sermons, delivered in Chapter to his brethren, are called in Soccis.
Perhaps C. is to be identified with the famous “monk of Heilbronn.”
