CONRAD OF PRUSSIA. - In the world C. de Grossis, a Dominican; born perhaps in Brussels, but more probably in Prussia, died on 10 March 1426 at Schönensteinbach. In 1388 vicar of the convent of Bern, in 1389, by order of the blessed Raymond, he laid the foundations of the regular reform for the friars at Colmar and in 1397 for the nuns at Schönensteinbach in Alsace. But his purpose underwent various crises. He obtained, as it were, the reform in the monasteries of Weyt and Westroye and in the convent of Bern. He was held in high veneration by the Observants of the 15th century.
