CORRADO of PRUSSIA. — By his baptismal name C. de Grossis, a Dominican; born perhaps in Brussels, but more likely in Prussia, died 10 March 1426 at Schönensteinbach. In 1388 vicar of the convent of Bern, in 1389, by order of Bl. Raymond, he laid the foundations for the regular reform of the friars at Colmar, and in 1397 for the nuns at Schönensteinbach in Alsace. Yet his undertaking met with various setbacks. He did, however, secure the reform of the monasteries of Weyt and Westroye and of the convent of Bern. He was held in high veneration by the Observants of the 15th century.
