Crellier, Henry-Joseph

CRELIER, HENRY-JOSEPH. – Exegete, born at Bure near Porrentruy (diocese of Basel) on 16 November 1816, died as parish priest at Bressancourt on 22 April 1889. He taught literature and philosophy at the college of Porrentruy.

Works: Les Psaumes traduits sur le texte hébreu avec un commentaire, I (Paris 1858; incomplete work), 7ob (ibid. 1860); Le Cantique des Cantiques (ibid. 1861). In Lethielleux’s collection La Sainte Bible he published: Les Actes des Apôtres (ibid. 1883); Exode (ibid. 1886); Lévitique (ibid. 1886); La Genèse (ibid. 1889).
