Marie of Jesus Deluil-Martiny redirects here.

DELUIL-MARTINY, MARIE DE JÉSUS. - Religious, foundress of the Daughters of the Heart of Jesus (v.), born in Marseille on 28 May 1841, and died there on 27 February 1884, killed by a gardener of the House she had founded. Educated by the Sisters of the Visitation, she worked to spread the "Guard of Honour" to the Sacred Heart. Animated by a profound spirit of reparation for the offenses committed against the Sacred Heart, she labored and suffered much for this lofty ideal of hers. Her cause for beatification is in progress.
