ELPIDIO RUSTICO. - Poet of the 6th century, belonging to the family of the Rustici, in Italy.

He wrote a Carmen de Christi beneficiis and 24 Tristichs under the title: Historiae testamenti veteris et novi, explanations of works of art in the church such as the Dittachoson of Prudentius. The manuscript that G. Fabricius had used in his first edition has not been found again. Reprint of the original edition in PL 62, 543-48.
