FABRIS, LUIGI MARIA. — Priest, born in Vicenza on 6 December 1805, died there on 10 June 1887. Founder of the Institute of the Sons of Charity, he directed the charitable infant asylum until his death, while also devoting himself to the education of the deaf-mute. A patriot, in 1848 he offered his homeland the gold medal of merit granted to him by the Austrian government and addressed two noble printed letters to his fellow citizens. He left various writings, including a Diario sacco perpetuo per la città e diocesi di Vicenza (Thiene 1860).
