FABRIS, LUIGI MARIA. - Priest, b. at Vicenza on 6 Dec. 1805, d. there on 10 June 1887. Founder of the Institute of the Sons of Charity, he directed until his death the charity infant asylum, while also attending to the education of the deaf-mute. A patriot, in 1848 he offered to his country the gold medal of merit granted him by the Austrian government and addressed to his fellow citizens two noble printed letters. He left various writings, among them a Diario sacco perpetuo per la città e diocesi di Vicenza (Thiene 1860).
