VINCENZO FERRER. — Dominican philosopher and theologian, born near Trahiguera (Catalonia) on 21 July 1675, died at Albatlas dels Sorells (near Valencia) on 22 April 1738. He was professor of moral philosophy and later, for many years, of theology at the University of Valencia.
He wrote: *Epitome cursus theologici ad mentem D. Thomae doctoris Angelici, complectens controversias omnes quae hac tempestate exagitari solent in scholis* (I, Valencia 1720, 2nd ed., ibid. 1724; II, ibid. 1725; III, ibid. 1728; IV, ibid. 1730); *Opusculum theologicum de conscientia* (ibid. 1725); *Summa mural para examen de curas y confessores* (ibid. 1736, subsequently many editions).
