FERRER, VINCENZO. – Dominican philosopher and theologian, born near Trahiguera (Catalonia) on 21 July 1675, died at Albalata della Sorella (near Valencia) on 22 April 1738. He was professor of moral philosophy and subsequently, for many years, of theology at the University of Valencia.
He wrote: Epitome cursus theologici ad mentem D. Thomae doctoris Angelici, complectens controversiae omnes quae hac tempestate exogitari solent in scholis (I, Valencia 1720, 2nd ed. there 1724; II, there 1725; III, there 1728; IV, there 1730); Opusculum theologicum de conscientia (there 1725); *Summa
moral para examen de curas y confessores* (there 1736, subsequently in many editions).
