**MINIM SISTERS OF THE IMMACULATE MARY** (León). — The Institute originated in 1883 through the efforts of Archdeacon Don Paolo Anda of León in Mexico, with the approval of ecclesiastical authority. It received the decree of praise on 30 May 1913, the approval of its constitutions on 16 January 1933, and definitive approval of the constitutions on 1 January 1941.
The purpose of the Institute is the care of the sick in hospitals, the education and instruction of young girls in kindergartens and schools, and the care of the elderly in homes.
In 1943 it had 42 houses with 310 sisters.
