MINIM DAUGHTERS OF MARY IMMACULATE (LEÓN). - The Institute originated in 1883 through the work of the archdeacon d. Paolo Anda, of León in Mexico, with the approval of the ecclesiastical authority. It obtained the decree of praise on 30 May 1913, and that of approval of the constitutions on 16 Jan. 1933, which were then definitively approved on 1 Jan. 1941.

The purpose of the Institute is the care of the sick in hospitals, the education and instruction of little girls in nurseries and schools; the care of the elderly in homes.

In 1945 it had 42 houses with 310 nuns.
