FIGLIE MINIME DI MARIA IMMACOLATA (León). — The Institute originated in 1883 through the work of the archdeacon d. Paolo Anda, of León in Mexico, with the approval of the ecclesiastical authority. It obtained the decree of praise on 30 May 1913 and that approving the constitutions on 16 Jan. 1933; these were subsequently definitively approved on 1 Jan. 1941.
The purpose of the Institute is to care for the sick in hospitals, to educate and instruct girls in nursery schools and schools, and to care for the elderly in homes.
In 1945 it had 42 houses with 310 sisters.
