Franciscus de Albano (Vercellensis)

FRANCISCUS DE ALBANO (Vercellensis). - Canonist, b. at Vercelli in the first half of the 13th century. There is no certain information about his life; it appears, however, that he lived in southern France and was a professor at Avignon. He may also have taken part in the Council of Lyon of 1274; there survives from him a commentary on the constitutions promulgated by Gregory X at that Council.
