FRANCISCUS DE ALBANO (Vercellensis). - Canonist, born in Vercelli in the first half of the 13th century. No certain details of his life are known; however, he seems to have lived in southern France and taught at Avignon. He may also have taken part in the Second Council of Lyon in 1274; surviving from him is a commentary on the constitutions promulgated by Gregory X at that Council.
