GELASIUS OF CYZICUS. - Son of a presbyter, around 475 he wrote an Ecclesiastical History in 3 books, a compilation from Eusebius, Theodoret and Socrates. The value of the new documents contained in his work is debated; some are authentic, others not. According to some, the ecclesiastical history of Gelasius of Caesarea would have been one of the sources of our author.
