Gelasius of Cyzicus

GELASIO of CIZICO. — Son of a presbyter, he wrote around 475 an Ecclesiastical History in 3 books, a compilation from Eusebius, Theodoret, and Socrates. The value of the new documents contained in his work is debated; some are authentic, others are not. According to some, the ecclesiastical history of Gelasius of Caesarea would have been one of the sources of our author.
