HUEJUTLA. – City and diocese in the State of Puebla (Mexico), erected on 24 November 1922 by Pope Pius XI through the apostolic constitution Inter negotia, by division from the dioceses of Tulancingo and S. Luigi Potosi. It is suffragan to Angelopoli. The diocese extends over 22,000 sq km and has 350,000 inhabitants, of whom 332,500 are Catholics. It has 26 parishes, served by 15 diocesan priests, and a seminary (1949).
