IMMENSE CAELI CONDITOR. - Hymn of Vespers on Monday, belonging to the Irish-Anglo-Saxon group.

The inspiration from the second day of creation, with the division of the earth from the waters, is so present in it that one seems to read there almost the very words of Genesis. From this there is a rapid transition to the request for Grace not to fall into sin and for light to distinguish truth from error.
