LETTERS FROM ROME. - Periodical founded in Rome by the Jesuit Father J.-H. Ledit in 1935, with the aim of studying the communist and atheist movement and its penetration on an international level.

While other centers and numerous other publications in various nations dealt with communism from the civil, political and economic aspect, the L. de R. limited themselves to the religious and Catholic aspect. In its first year the periodical came out in mimeographed form, and from the second year onward in print. There were also an English edition (1937), a German one (1937), and a Spanish one (1938). The periodical ceased in 1940.
