LUPO. – In the arcosolium of Celerina, in the cemetery of Pretestato, Susanna is represented as a sheep between two wolves, designated as seniores. The allusion to innocence and to the faith assailed by enemies is evident, in accordance with the Lord’s admonition to the disciples (Mt. 10:16; Lc. 10:3).
