Lupo

LUPO. - In the arcosolium of Celerina, in the cemetery of Praetextatus, Susanna is represented as a sheep between two wolves, designated as seniores. The allusion to innocence and to faith assailed by enemies is evident, in accordance with the Lord's admonition to his disciples (Mt. 10:16; Lk. 10:3).
