She took the habit on 8 September 1705, and from the humblest offices was chosen mistress of novices (1723-32), abbess (1732-34, 1736-1737), and vicaress (1734-36). In 1714 she made the “great vow” to strive for what was “of greater perfection”; she practiced severe bodily penance, attained the highest degrees of contemplation; a precious document of her piety and mystical experience is her Autobiography, written in 1725-26. From her manuscript works there has been drawn a Collection of Spiritual Admonitions (Venice 1779; 2nd ed. ibid. 1781); extracts from her Spiritual Exercises, Dialogues, Letters, and Spiritual Documents (Trento 1905); Lights for Superiors (Treviglio 1926).
