MAURILIO, saint. – Born of a noble family in Milan, he died ca. 430. Educated in a monastery, he was ordained by St. Ambrogio. At his father’s death he went to Gaul to join St. Martino, who, after several years of solitary life, persuaded him to accept the episcopate of Angers, which he held for ca. 30 years.
