MIROCLES, Saint. — He was already bishop of Milan in 313 when he took part in the Roman Synod, held under Pope Miltiades, to settle the Donatist controversy; the following year he participated in the Council of Arles for the same purpose. He governed the Church of Milan for 22 years and was buried in the church of St. Victor. His true *dies natalis* is November 30, but his liturgical commemoration is observed on December 3. St. Ambrose and St. Epiphanius praise his virtues and his zeal for the faith.
