REICHERT, BENEDICT MARIA. - Dominican historian, born 9 February 1868 at Amorbach, died 29 January 1917 at Priesendorf near Bamberg.

He entered the Dominican Order in 1889 and was ordained priest in 1895. From 1896 to 1906 he resided in Rome. The fruit of his historical work includes the Vitae fratrum Ordinis Prædicatorum (1896), the nine-volume Acta capitulorum generalium of the Dominican Order (1898–1904), and the Registrum litterarum Magistrorum generalium in three parts (1911–12). In 1907 he became librarian at Pommersfelden, and in 1915 he was entrusted with the care of the parish of Priesendorf.
