REPARATA, Saint, Martyr. - Unknown to the ancient hagiographic documents, she is mentioned for the first time by the historical martyrologies of the Middle Ages, whence she passed into the Roman Martyrology, under 8 October.

According to the highly legendary Passio, she was a girl of 12; arrested at Caesarea in Palestine during the persecution and brought before the tribunal of the governor Decius, she refused to sacrifice, and was therefore horribly tortured and then beheaded. According to another tradition she was identified with Margaret (v.). She is much venerated in Tuscany.
