RIVISTA DI ARCHEOLOGIA CRISTIANA. - When the Nuovo bulletino di archeologia cristiana ceased publication in 1922, the Pontifical Commission for Sacred Archaeology began in 1924 the R. di a. c., intended to contain reports on excavations carried out by that Commission and studies in Christian archaeology.
From 1927 through 1941 the periodical was published under the auspices of that Commission and of the Pont. Institute of Christian Archaeology, with an editorial committee composed of P. Franchi de' Cavalieri, G. P. Kirsch, C. Respighi, and A. Silvagni; G. Belvederi was editorial secretary. From 1942 through 1946 the R. was published under the auspices of the said Pont. Commission and the Pont. Institute, with G. Belvederi as secretary; he published the journal at his own expense in the years 1947–48. Since 1949 it has been published under the auspices of the Pont. Commission and the Pont. Institute under the direction of L. de Bruyne and an editorial committee composed of B. M. Apolloni-Ghetti, A. Ferrua, E. Josi, C. Mohlberg, E. Peterson, and A. Silvagni. Of particular importance is the bibliography, first compiled by G. P. Kirsch and, since 1949, by L. de Bruyne.
