RUMOR, SEBASTIANO. - Priest, brother of the preceding, scholar, bibliographer and historian, b. at Vicenza on 30 May 1862, d. at Jerusalem on 17 June 1929.
For a long time director of the Biblioteca Bertoliana of Vicenza, he devoted himself in a special way to illustrating events, memories and personages of his city, and left numerous publications of notable importance, among them a Storia del santuario mariano di Monte Berico, a copious Dizionario degli scrittori vicentini dell'Ottocento and a biography of Antonio Fogazzaro, of whom he was a friend and intimate. He also composed two novels, one of which, Via smarrita, had the honour of a preface by Fogazzaro himself. He died while on pilgrimage in the Holy Land.
