SANTA ROSA DE OSOS, DIOCESE of. — City and diocese of Colombia in the department of Antioquia (South America).
It has an area of 31,400 sq. km, with a population of 280,000 inhabitants, of whom 279,750 are Catholics; it has 60 parishes with 107 diocesan priests and 33 religious priests; it has 5 male and 3 female religious communities (Ann. Pont. 1952, p. 364).
The diocese was established by Pope Benedict XV on 5 February 1917 as a suffragan of Medellín. Its first bishop was Msgr. Maximilian Crespo.
