SANTA MARTA, DIOCESE of. - City and diocese of northern Colombia, capital of the department of Magdalena (South America).
It has an area of 33,000 sq. km., with a population of 410,000 inhabitants, of whom 405,000 are Catholics; it has 36 parishes served by 55 diocesan and 25 regular priests; 1 seminary, 7 male and 17 female religious communities (Ann.
