SOCIETY OF ST. COLUMBAN FOR THE CHINESE MISSIONS. - It was founded by Rev. Edoardo Galvin and Fr. Blowick in 1918 at Dalgan Park (Ireland).
Its purpose is to send missionaries to China. The Constitutions were provisionally approved by Propaganda on 15 June 1925 and definitively on 14 March 1932. The Society has missions in China, Korea, Japan, and the Philippine Islands. Its members number more than 750.

SOCIETY OF ST. JOSEPH OF MILL HILL FOR FOREIGN MISSIONS. - It was founded on 19 March 1866 VAUGHAN, HERBERT (v.) at Mill Hill near London, with the purpose of training priests for the missions.
The first missionaries departed on 17 Nov. 1871. It is a Society without vows, whose members are bound by oath and devote themselves to foreign missions. It received the decree of praise on 28 Jan. 1897 and was definitively approved on 22 Apr. 1908. The Constitutions were modified on 20 May 1935.
