SUMMAE DEUS CLEMENTIAE

“SUMMAE DEOS CLEMENTIAE.” – Hymn at Lauds on the feast of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 15 Sept., author unknown.

The author turns to the Eternal Father, entreating Him to grant men the grace to meditate upon the wounds of Jesus and the sorrows of the Virgin, whose tears co-operated in washing the world from every sin.
