THEOLOGY AND FAITH. - Journal founded in 1909 as a scientific theological periodical for the Catholic clergy.

It aims to help the clergy maintain close contact with theological science and to become familiar with its tasks and goals, currents and struggles, progress and achievements. It therefore strives to combine depth with clarity of exposition, to follow the most reliable opinions in the explanation of important questions, to observe moderation in the examination of new research, and to remain on the ground of reality, accurately noting the content of truth that may be found even in error. In particular, the periodical offers the clergy, and also educated laypeople who take an interest in theological questions, the data of positive and speculative theology, and the initiatives in the field of pastoral care, homiletics and catechetics.

T. u. G. appears bimonthly in 2000 copies; its editors are the professors of the archiepiscopal philosophical-theological academy of Paderborn; the director is Prof. Eduard Stakemeier.
