ALBERICI, Giacomo. — Augustinian, born in Sarnico (Bergamo) in an unspecified year, died in Rome, in the convent of Santa Maria del Popolo, in 1610. He entered the Order in 1570 and distinguished himself by his administrative abilities, rising from prior of various convents to procurator and then vicar general of all the Hermits of St Augustine. He published 7 works, among which are worthy of mention a history and a historical compendium of the church of Santa Maria del Popolo in Rome, the lives of the Blessed Nicholas of Tolentino and the Blessed Clare of Montefalco, and a Breve Catalogo degli illustrissimi scrittori venetiani, dedicated to Doge Marino Grimani, published in Bologna in 1605.
