ANASTASIO della Croce. – Discalced Carmelite of German origin, born Benedikt Falck. He was born on 9 April 1706 (not 1701 as some authors have it) in Münster, entered the religious habit in Munich in 1724, and died on 9 June 1761 in Augsburg, where he taught theology. He was also a good poet and an excellent engraver, enriching his works with beautiful engravings, such as: *Sancta Theologia universa Sacris Bibliorum figuris illustrata* (Augsburg 1738); *Effigies Romanorum Pontificum* (ibid. 1751), and others.
