ANTONIO da Cordova. - Spanish Franciscan, a most learned writer on sacred and profane disciplines, died in Guadalajara in 1578, having entered the Franciscan habit in the Minoritic province of Castile, which he governed as provincial. His numerous works enjoyed wide circulation. Noteworthy among them are the following: *Quaestionarium theologicum* (Toledo 1578); *Summa casuum conscientiae* (Saragozza 1561, translated into Italian, Brescia 1599); *Breviloquium theologiae scholasticae in IV libros sententiarum* (Alcalá 1569).
