AVANZINI, PIETRO. — Priest, born in Rome in 1832 and died there on 7 April 1874. In 1865 he Acta Sanctae Sedis (v.); and in 1871 he founded the Seminary of SS. AA. Peter and Paul for Foreign Missions, which in 1926 was merged with the Institute for Foreign Missions of Milan, assuming the title “Pontifical” (v. MISSIONI ESTERE, PONTIFICIO ISTITUTO per le).
