CANALI, BENEDETTO ANGELO MARIA. — Servite theologian, died in 1745. He published a Cursus Philosophicus ad mentem Doctoris solemnis Henrici de Gandavo (Parma 1715; there 1716), which encountered some difficulties on account of certain anatomical descriptions.
He printed and completed the Disputaciones theologicae, iuxta genuinam Henrici de Gandavo mentem (Rome 1698, Lucca 1722–24) by Lodigieri. He also edited the work Doctrina catholica de septem Ecclesiae Sacramentis (Venice 1734) by Fr. Castelli, a Servite (died in 1715). C. also wrote several historical studies concerning his Order.
