CARMINATI, ANTONIO. – Sculptor, b. at Brembate di Sotto (Bergamo) on 2 June 1859, d. at Milan on 11 May 1908.
Besides several fine portraits, he left numerous works distinguished by profound realism. Notable in Milan are the statues for the tiburium of the Duomo, S. Luigi Gonzaga and a plague victim in S. Sattio, the tombs of Casati, Carcano, Bay and Nava in the Monumental Cemetery; in the cemetery of Groppello d’Adda the sepulchre of Mons. L. Nazari di Calabiana.
