CARMINATI, ANTONIO. — Sculptor, born in Brembate di Sotto (Bergamo) on 2 June 1859, died in Milan on 11 May 1908.
In addition to some good portraits, he left numerous works characterized by profound realism. Notable in Milan are the statues for the tiburium of the Cathedral, S. Luigi Gonzaga and a plague victim in S. Satiro, and the Casati, Carcano, Bay, and Nava tombs in the monumental cemetery; in the cemetery of Groppello d’Adda, the tomb of Mons. L. Nazari di Calabiana.
