Celsus (Celsi), Angelo

CELSUS (CELSI), ANGELO. - Roman nobleman, b. in 1600, d. on 6 Nov. 1671. A doctor "in utroque iure," he was appointed auditor of the Holy Roman Rota in 1645 and cardinal in 1664. He held various offices, among them the prefecture of the Sacred Congregation of the Council. He left a collection of Decisiones S. Rotae Romanae (Rome 1673).
