CHELODI, Giovanni. – Canonist, b. at Cavalese on 19 June 1882, d. at Trento on 31 May 1922. Ordained priest in 1905, he had occasion to display his polemical spirit in the newspaper *Il Trentino*, of which he took charge together with Hon. Alcide De Gasperi. On returning to his homeland, he served as chancellor of the archiepiscopal curia and later as professor of law in the major seminary, until his untimely death.
