ANTONIO COELHO. — Liturgist, b. at Braga on 24 May 1892, d. at Singeverga on 20 Dec. 1938. A Benedictine monk, he spent several years studying at the abbeys of Maredsous and Mont-César.
Upon returning to Portugal, he founded the journal *Opas Dei*, which in 1931 was succeeded by *Metageiro de S. Bento*. He is the author of a *Corso di liturgia romana*, translated into various languages (5 vols., Turin 1935 ff.), a work of no small importance in which rubricistics is more developed than the scientific aspect.
