CRISTOFORO, ANTIPOPE. — A Roman, son of Leo, priest of the title of S. Damaso, he rose up against Leo V, seized him, and imprisoned him in order to take his place on the papal see (August–September 903); he was, however, able to hold it for little more than four months. Only one bull of his survives, confirming the privileges of the monastery of Corbie (Jaffé-Wattenbach, 3532).
